I’ve put off blogging and then every time I think of coming back I dread that catch up post (how do I get close to year caught up in a single post). Well here is how folks….enjoy and I hope to be back soon!!
Miss Ella has been going to a lot of solo birthday parties lately leaving us with lots of extra time with just the boys 🙂 This time we decided to take them bowling (Finn’s favorite thing in the world) and it was a blast!! We even let them eat junk in the cafe this is from before going GF) while waiting for a lane…of course they LOVED it!
A friend gave me this recipe a few weeks ago and I decided I needed to share since we have made it more times than I can count since then…lol! EVERYONE in the house LOVES it 🙂
Preheat oven to 450. In a baking dish, toss together pint halved cherry tomatoes, chopped garlic, 1/4 cup olive oil, salt & pepper. Roast for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup bread crumbs and roast an additional 5-10 minutes…set aside. Boil 1lb linguine. Heat a large saute pan over med heat. Add 2 TBsp oil, 2TBsp butter and 1 tsp chopped garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup vegatable broth and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the drained pasta, roasted tomatoes and 2-4 cups spinach. Toss well and serve with fresh bread 🙂
I’ll be honest we (the adults) are not huge fans of the snow but these little people in our house couldn’t love it more! Yes these are a bit old and the snow is now melted but I figured I better get these up before Spring 😉
We had Friday off and in theory that’s nice but in reality by 9:30 I was ready to lock myself in my bedroom…lol! I didn’t and instead pulled out my $ section purchase (little mailboxes & foam stickers) and decided to make this extra time we had a little extra special 🙂 I totally gave up on having a clean house & any idea’s I had for the day and we made a new plan…make pretend Valentine’s to fill mailboxes, bake cookies, have a junky easy lunch, watch a movie, act out that movie and try and have as much fun as possible. I think we did a pretty good job 😉
This has been a favorite activity in our house for a few months now & it’s easy, fun for all ages and makes a very cute decoration! All you need is fabric scraps, embroidery hoops, embroidery needs and some yarn scraps 🙂
We hung these on our wall and they look so super cute…I’ll have to share a photo of them when I get one!
Here they are the not so healthy Rum Ball recipe I’ve promised many people 🙂 I usually make these at Christmas but I totally forgot about them this year (until a friend reminded me) so I made for for the New Year! I add about double or triple the rum so the dough is very wet feeling 😉
Use a food processor to crush the vanilla wafers & pecans….mix all dry ingredients.
Add wet ingredients and mix (hands work best).
Roll into balls, roll balls in powdered sugar and place on parchment paper until firm.
